Joint EU-Turkmenistan conference on “Green energy and EU strategies for the use of hydrogen and the reduction of methane emissions”
Lecturers of Chemical and Nanotechnologies faculty of Oguz han Engineering and technology university attended to Joint EU-Turkmenistan conference on “Green energy and EU strategies for the use of hydrogen and the reduction of methane emissions”. Within the framework of the scientific and practical conference held on November 22-23, 2022, cooperation between the European Union and Turkmenistan was discussed on the set of hydrogen production and reduction of methane emissions.
Participants discussed a wide range of issues related to renewable energy sources, including the development of legislation in the field of renewable energy sources, investments in renewable energy sources the prospects for the use of innovative technologies and hydrogen.
In conference, besides these, participants were informed about the use of renewable energy sources in the country, the roadmap for international cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy for 2022-2023, and the creation of a highly productive export-oriented hydrogen energy sector in Turkmenistan. In addition, the use of clean resource-saving technologies for the modern environment was discussed, especially in the oil and gas, energy and transport industries.
The conference participants discussed the prospects for further cooperation in this area through the exchange of experience in the use of renewable energy sources, hydrogen and the reduction of methane emissions. The parties reaffirmed their desire to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
