SDG Agenda 2030
Our esteemed President, along with other sectors of our country, pays great attention to environmental protection. Currently, in accordance with the National Forest Program, huge works are being implemented to transform Turkmenistan into a forest.
Türkmenistanyň Oguz han adyndaky Inžener-tehnologiýalar uniwersitetiniň ýaşyl zolaklarynda hem pürli we ýaprakly agaçlaryň onlarça görnüşi ösdürilip ýetişdirilýär. 2021-nji ýylda uniwersitetiň ýaşyl zolaklarynda täze görnüş – pawlowniýa agajynyň 25-e golaý düýbi oturdyldy. Häzirki wagtda Ekologiýa we ekologik tehnologiýalar kafedrasynyň mugallymlarynyň ýolbaşçylygynda “Ekologiýa we tebigatdan peýdalanmak” taýýarlygyň ugrunyň talyplary tarapyndan bu agaçlaryň ýerli şertlere uýgunlaşmagynyň aýratynlyklaryna, ösüşine yzygiderli gözegçilik edilýär.
Dozens of deciduous and coniferous trees grow in the green zones of Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan. In 2022, about 25 trees of a new type of paulownia tree were planted in the green zones of the university. Currently, under the guidance of the teachers of the Department of Ecology and Ecological Technologies, the students of the "Ecology and Nature management" major are constantly monitoring the characteristics and development of these trees' adaptation to local conditions.
Among the deciduous trees, paulownia is considered the fastest growing tree. Paulownia is also widely used as a large shade tree and ornamental tree in parks where it is cultivated. The diameter of the leaves of the tree reaches 58 centimeters in the conditions of Turkmenistan. The large leaves of the paulownia tree absorb vast amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release pure oxygen into the environment. Thus, it is necessary to note that the paulownia tree is not only important as a decoration, but also ecologically very important.
