Ensuring ecological security, protecting the environment, treating nature with care, preserving its beauty and resources for future generations are the priorities of Turkmenistan's state policy, as the cleanliness of the environment is also vital for human health. For this reason, specialists are trained in the field of "Ecology and nature management" at the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University, where studies are conducted using innovative methods and specialists are trained in the newest, most modern fields in the world. The "Ecological Biotechnology" scientific manufacturing center operates in the Oguz han innovative complex of the university, along with other scientific manufacturing centers. At the "Ecological Biotechnology" Scientific Manufacturing Center, which was opened in 2020, under the guidance of the teachers of the Department of Ecology and Ecological Technologies, students conduct scientific research and practical work on solving various ecological problems. Currently, scientific research and experimental work is carried out in the scientific manufacturing center in the following areas:

  • Biological treatment and reuse of sewage and industrial wastewater;
  • Effective and regular use of water resources in irrigated farming;
  • Household waste management;
  • Recycling plastic waste and obtaining new products;
  • Recycling the paper waste;
  • Getting biogas, compost, liquid fertilizer from organic waste;
  • Obtaining liquefied organo-mineral fertilizers from organic waste and industrial waste of the chemical industry;
  • Processing industrial waste of the chemical industry and obtaining new products;
  • Processing industrial waste of the chemical industry and obtaining new products;
  • Development of edible bioplastics to replace plastics used in packaging some food products;
  • Preparation of ecologically clean hygiene products, deodorants from local plants;
  • Studying the biological resources of Altyn Asyr Turkmen Lake and its salt water reservoirs;
  • Studying the possibilities of obtaining electric energy from the wind in the region of Altyn Asyr Turkmen Lake;
  • To carry out studies on improving the melioration condition of farmlands in the Turkmen Aral Sea region.

In order to successfully carry out scientific research in the above-mentioned areas, we cooperate with the scientific research institutes of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the institutional enterprises of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, the Turkmenhimiya State Concern, and local private enterprises.
